I had a financial coaching session with Christine. During the session Christine made me feel I was in a comfortable and safe environment to talk about my personal finances. Even though I am a person who has read a lot about personal finances and I know most of the concepts, it wasn't until I asked Christine for her help that I was able to put the rubber to the road. I contacted Christine to help me work on a financial plan for me and my wife to track and project our personal budget, assets and expenses/taxes basically a financial plan in a spreadsheet. She provided very useful information and worked patiently with me on the details. She answered many questions and gave me great advice. During our internet meetings, (you don't have to live in her town), she really seemed to enjoy helping me resolve retirement planning issues. Christine is just naturally good with money. We met about ten years ago. I don't think she was aware of how much she helped me with controlling my money. I was fairly wise with spending money, however, still at the end of the month I wouldn't exactly know where and how much I spent. Christine introduced me to the spreadsheet she was using at the time and with a few minor changes I've been using the same spreadsheet all these years. This helped me not only to keep track of my money but also with budgeting.

Upon starting my first full-time job, I found myself reeling in the dizzying world of traditional v. Roth 401Ks, IRAs, and convoluted investing rules and differing advice. Unlike me, Christine has a clear view of all the personal finance options out there and confidently makes suggestions based on one's unique situation. She literally writes out one's options and thus maps investment possibilities, which clarifies the framework enormously if you are visual person like me.
